2022 Hacienda Parade of Homes Entry

Designed to capture the breathtaking vistas its rare, elevated lot affords, our award-winning design reveals stunning mountain views from every window. The home was initially conceived as a spec, or “to be built” project, but the 3,670-square-foot residence found its owners early on, a couple as charmed by the dramatic panorama as we were. To capture the big views, we created a contemporary structure open to the outdoors via picture windows, sliding-glass doors and deep portals. It’s a fresh, new take on our traditional regional architecture, a design we’ve termed “Spanish-modern,” that showcases the dramatic natural masterpiece on display outdoors and captures both
Sangre de Cristo and Jemez Mountain vistas.

Inside, three luxurious bedrooms and three and a half baths offer sleek, modern interpretations of Santa Fe’s celebrated Spanish-inspired styling. Common areas take indoor/outdoor living to the next level, with four portals generously extending the gathering and entertaining spaces, all places designed to take full advantage of the classic New Mexican landscape and exceptional panoramas. The great room features a three-sided fireplace and walk-out portal with a gas fireplace both with Sangre de Cristo views. The kitchen possesses its own dedicated portal, a spacious area equipped with a cozy fireplace and built-in grill with the Jemez range as its dramatic backdrop. As Frank
puts it, “there’s not a bad seat in the house.”
