An inherited lot, the need for a solid investment property, and no real design vision on the part of the owners meant that building this home required extra creativity, lots of flexibility and in-depth collaboration. We assembled a design team of trusted professionals we knew we could meld with aesthetically, and honed our leadership skills. In most design build projects, the homeowners drive the boat when it comes to design. This house evolved organically with input from everyone on our team. It was such fun to build, because we combined our ideas, personalities and aesthetics, and saw the pieces fit together beautifully.

The only real parameter we had was the budget constraint of building an investment property, yet were able to put our heads together to bring the team’s visions to life. The fact that this home turned out to be such a success without beginning with any clear vision is a testament to working collaboratively with creative professionals we know and respect. Building is our passion and we are so fortunate to get to do what we love.
